Malaysia Airlines Launches Multi-Currency Wallet EnrichMoney Visa Prepaid Card

Malaysia Airlines has launched the EnrichMoney Visa Prepaid Card, which is powered by Merchantrade. EnrichMoney, like AirAsia’s BigPay, promises to offer competitive currency conversion rates for international spending and remittances. To apply for the Visa Prepaid card, you must first download the EnrichMoney app and become a member of Enrich. You must make a minimum top-up of RM100 using online banking during the enrollment process (FPX). Your first top-up will be charged a total of RM30, with RM10 payable for the issuing fee and RM20 charged as a deposit.

In roughly 5-7 days, the physical Visa prepaid card will be delivered to your registered address. EnrichMoney’s reward system, EnrichMoney Points, is distinct from Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich Points. Cardholders can earn EnrichMoney points for eligible retail and online purchases, which can then be used to pay for post-transaction purchases. Users can convert their Enrich Points at a 1:1 conversion rate to top up their points. The app also has a multi-currency wallet that allows users to keep money in 20 different currencies.

The app comes with a RM10,000 wallet that may be upgraded to RM20,000. Before requesting a Wallet size, users must have a minimum of 6 months of active transaction history and an average eWallet balance of RM500. The EnrichMoney Visa Prepaid card may be used for ATM cash withdrawals, with a transaction limit of 5 withdrawals per day and a daily limit of RM5,000, the same as the TNG Visa Prepaid card. It also accepts Paywave contactless payments, although there is an RM250 transaction limit. The RM8 annual charge is eliminated, and card replacement costs RM10.

EnrichMoney also offers an RM50 MHGiftcard to the first 1,000 spenders who spend a minimum of RM3,000, as well as 50,000 EnrichPoints to the top three spenders by June 30th, 2023, to incentivize card usage. Local bank transfer fees are waived till further notice. Overseas transactions are subject to a currency conversion rate determined by Visa International, as well as a service fee of 1% of the transaction value.
