According to the latest statement from the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, Malaysia Aviation Group will be the official airline for the 2019 MATTA Expo (MATTA). All three airlines in the consortium have official airline status: Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and MASwings. The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur will host Southeast Asia’s largest travel expo from March 17 to 19.
Malaysia Airlines has secured 28 booths on Foyer Level 1 for this year’s show to promote destinations and fare discounts on domestic and international routes. Visitors can plan their next vacations and get savings from numerous domestic and international packages with Malaysia Airlines onboard during the MATTA Fair. The Airline provides up to 45% off selected domestic and international routes, and there is an opportunity to win one of the 37 return tickets in the “Buyers Contest”.
Onboard its ATR 72-500 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Firefly will offer flights starting at MYR69 all-in one-way to domestic destinations and MYR99 all-in one-way to international destinations. MASwings will offer all-in one-way prices beginning at MYR131, valid from March 16 to March 24, 2023, via the physical MATTA Fair event and the airlines’ web platforms, for travel from now until November 30, 2023. At this time, Enrich members will also receive 50% more Enrich Points.
Along from the fantastic airfare rates, customers will also get to experience various offerings outside air travel, such as MHholidays, Journify, and travel add-ons. At the Buyers’ Contest, MAG airlines will give away 37 tickets, including Malaysia Airlines’ business class return tickets to London, Sydney, and Haneda, as well as economy class return tickets to Osaka, Melbourne, Perth, Seoul Denpasar, Singapore, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Langkawi. Firefly and MASwings will provide five and twelve return tickets to the winners’ preferred destinations within the airline network, respectively.
The MATTA Fair will be open from 1000 to 2100 on Friday, March 17 and Sunday, March 19. The event is free to attend.
